About Our Guarantee

At VRMCheck, we take data accuracy extremely seriously. Our vehicle history reports are compiled from official UK government sources including the DVLA, DVSA, and authorised data partners. We are confident in the accuracy of the information we provide.

However, we understand that when purchasing a vehicle, you need complete peace of mind. That's why we offer our £10,000 Data Guarantee - financial protection in the unlikely event that our report contains inaccurate information that results in a direct financial loss to you.

Important Note

Claims under this guarantee are exceptionally rare. Our data is sourced directly from official registers and is regularly verified for accuracy. This guarantee exists as an additional layer of protection, not because inaccuracies are common.

What's Covered

Our £10,000 Data Guarantee covers direct financial losses arising from inaccurate information in the following areas of your VRMCheck report:

Outstanding Finance

Covered if our report states "No finance found" but the vehicle has outstanding finance registered at the time of your check.

Stolen Vehicle Status

Covered if our report states "Not reported stolen" but the vehicle was registered as stolen on the Police National Computer.

Insurance Write-Off

Covered if our report fails to disclose a Category A, B, S, or N write-off that was recorded on MIAFTR at the time of your check.

Scrapped/Exported Status

Covered if our report shows an incorrect scrapped or exported status based on DVLA records at the time of your check.

What's Not Covered

To ensure clarity and fairness, the following situations are excluded from our guarantee:

Information Not in Report

Issues with data that was not included or referenced in your VRMCheck report.

Post-Check Events

Finance, theft, or write-offs registered after the date and time of your VRMCheck report.

Mechanical Condition

We do not guarantee the mechanical condition, roadworthiness, or physical state of the vehicle.

Cloned Vehicles

Vehicles with cloned identity - we report data for the registration checked.

Commercial Use

Losses arising from commercial vehicle trading or dealer stock purchases.

Consequential Losses

Indirect losses such as loss of earnings, travel costs, or inconvenience.
